Ukraine counterattacked strongly, Russia focused its efforts to regain the initiative
Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar said that it will be difficult for Ukrainian forces to attack because Russia is concentrating all its forces to prevent a counterattack.
Ms. Malyar said that although the country’s army is attacking in several directions in the South, Russia is concentrating large-scale resources in the East and continuing to attack here to regain the initiative.
`For the enemy (Russia), the main direction of attack is in the East because they do not give up their goal of reaching the borders of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions,` she said.
Therefore, the most intense fighting is still taking place in the East and South of Ukraine.
