`We confirm that we have nothing to do with this,` US President Joe Biden commented for the first time on June 26 about Wagner’s rebellion in Russia.
Mr. Biden said he has directed his security team to continuously update the situation in Russia and prepare plans for different scenarios.
The White House owner said that recent tense events show Russia’s internal rift.
On the same day, White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby confirmed that, through various communication channels, Washington sent President Biden’s message to Russia that the West was not involved in the Russian rebellion.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said yesterday that Russian intelligence is investigating whether Western intelligence agencies played a role in the Wagner rebellion.
On the evening of June 23, Wagner tycoon Yevgeny Prigozhin announced that he would lead 25,000 troops from the Ukrainian battlefield into the Rostov region on the southern border of Russia.
Some sources say that US intelligence agencies had previously grasped signs of Wagner’s rebellion, but did not notify Russia.

The West advises Ukraine not to attack Russia
Before Wagner tycoon Yevgeny Prigozhin decided to stop the rebellion in Russia, Western allies warned Ukraine not to take advantage of the situation to raid Russian territory, the New York Times quoted an unnamed Western official today.
`The message is don’t add fuel to the fire. It’s an internal matter for Russia… Take advantage of opportunities on Ukrainian territory but don’t get drawn into internal issues or attacks on military assets
Since the conflict broke out more than a year ago, Russia has repeatedly accused Ukraine of carrying out cross-border attacks, targeting Russian military and civilian facilities, even the Kremlin.
However, Kiev rejected Moscow’s accusations.
